Visualização: Uma intervenção possível em psicologia da saúde

RESUMO

A visualização tem vindo a ser referenciada como uma intervenção possível em Psicologia da Saúde. Os autores fazem uma breve revisão da investigação recente sobre esta técnica que tem vindo a demonstrar resultados positivos tanto em pessoas saudáveis como doentes, em situação aguda ou de doença crónica e em cuidados hospitalares ou no domicílio, ao longo do ciclo de vida. Refere-se ainda a importância de mais investigação para alargar a compreensão e as possibilidades de aplicação da mesma.

ABSTRACT

Visualisation has been reported as a possible intervention in Health Psychology. The authors present a brief literature review of the recent research of this technique which have been showing positive results in healthy and seek people, in acute or chronic diseases, in hospital and home care, trough the life span. It is also presented the need of further research in order to better understand the process of visualisation and his possible applications.
